Days are gone when people ask themselves what can I sell or market. That is while I decided to list and explain the 4 types of entities in which one can market to make a living. They are:
1. Goods: this involves offline goods and online goods. But I will emphasize on the online goods. Firstly a goods is anything capable of satisfying wants and needs. Your goods may be researching and identifying needs and wants of a particular group e.g. Nigeria often have problem of opening and operating paypal and you find out a solution for that you can arrange it into information product (eBook) and market it to then. That eBook is your goods/product. This can continue in different niches and find the solution to problems. One can also market physical goods or your business online for Instance an electro company or an individual can advertise and markets its product online e.g. laptops, ipod,flash, modem and other accessories.
2. Service: this is one of the fastest growing entities in the world economy. When I said service I mean any activity or benefit that one party can offer to another that is intangible and does not result in the transfer of ownership of any physical object. For instance what our banking industries does is services. So when it comes to online one can offer various services to individuals such as designing a website, opening of adsense account, paypal opening service like one of Nigeria internet marketer Patrick ogidi offer to Nigerians, web hosting services, vcc services e.g. you too can find one and offer to people.
3. Events: a marker or any one aspiring to be a marketer must promote time based event such as major trade shows, seminar, online conference where you can sell your product/idea. Now facebook as made it simple and easy to great an event and invite friends and targeted market to the event, which you can from their build a long lasting relationship with the participants of the event and sell your further idea/product them.
4. Information: this can be called information marketing. This involves selling/marketing of a particular information/idea that is capable of satisfying wants and needs requirement of the targeted market.
